§ Don’t miss the Easter Disco on Tuesday the 6th April, 7.00-9.00pm, in the gym club. This will be the last disco to be held in the gym, as we will be taking delivery of the new floor in May!
§ Take your chance on your lucky number with our “FUND-RAISING 50” numbers board.Pick a number for £1.00 on the grid by the gym door. The winning number drawn when the grid is full wins a leotard voucher (for any mens or ladies leotard from the current brochure) from a leading manufacturer.
§ Summer Reading Book Stall. There will be a bookstall at the back of the gym selling paperbacks for £1.00, so stock up for your holiday reading. If you have any books (or good quality glossy magazines) that you have finished with, please pass them on to us to add to the stall. Thank you.
§ The club will be bag packing at Morrison’s supermarket on Saturday May 1st. Please come and help if you can as this is always a worthwhile fundraising activity. The more checkouts we can cover the more money we can collect per hour. There will be a list in the gym shortly for names and times of willing helpers.

Maria and John were pleased to announce the arrival of the latest edition to their family, Elliot Paul.
The Baby Sweepstake raised £33.50 With Amy Firth having the closest date/time guess, the actual date and time being, 11.10pm Sat 14th Feb and Howard Todd guessing the correct weight of8lb 12oz. Congratulations to Maria and John and we look forward to welcoming ALL the Sinclair family back into the gym.
Yellow Moon—Christmas Book
We made £131.40 from the Yellow Moon Christmas order. Thanks to everyone who placed an order. The new Yellow Moon catalogues have been issued and an order has been placed.
Carlisle City Council
We have received a grant of £1,000 from Carlisle City Council. This will be used as the final payment for the replacement of the exercise floor, which we hope to have by the end of May.
Thanks go to Mrs Collin’s (Georgina’s mum) for her help with keeping the club tidy and continued thanks go to Jenny Harris (Georgina’s (yes another one!!) mum) who tidies up the club premises every week.
Thanks must also go to Julie Kidd. Julie has taken on all the extra work in the club while Maria has been busy elsewhere!! Without Julie’s continued commitment and hard work the club and gymnasts would not have had such wonderful successes in the recent competitions.
SELLING OF SECOND-HAND LEOTARDS
In order to keep the leotards on the sale rails a little bit easier to keep track of we have now produced some yellow labels, which should be used if you wish to sell leotards (or other items) through the club. Example shown below;
In addition, the following should be noted:
No items should be removed from the premises unless payment has been made in full
If you wish to purchase an item, and you are unable to pay the seller directly, please put the appropriate cash or cheque in a money bag together with the yellow label and give this to one of the coaches to forward to the seller. Moneybags are with the yellow labels next to the rails.
If you wish to reserve an item for a short while until payment can be made, please pass it to one of the coaches who will place it in the office for safe-keeping. Your name will be put on the back of the sale ticket to show the item is spoken for
